“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

It’s a question asked of every child. I know it was asked of me—and I always had an answer.

First, I wanted to be a Computer Graphics Illustrator. Keep in mind, this was around 1989, and I had just been introduced to the wonderful world of the Apple IIe and LOGO programming, thanks to the pages of 3-2-1 Contact magazine. Later, I dreamed of becoming a journalist, writing editorials for big-city magazines and newspapers. By the time I reached college, I wanted to be a teacher.

But once I hit “grown up,” I suddenly found myself without an answer. Or, more accurately, with a handful of partial answers. And I didn’t feel grown up at all.

I built this site for a few reasons—chief among them, to tell a story.

This space is a window into my world. It’s a place of reflection, a record of my journey, and a way to share how I came to be all of those things—and more.

My intent is to be clear and creative. Authentic and original. To explore multiple forms of expression in an effort not necessarily to find or reclaim my voice, but to illustrate its evolution.

Here, you’ll find anecdotes, short stories, commentary, and images of things I’ve created. There are no hard and fast rules or themes—this is just me.

I welcome your thoughts and opinions; I only ask that they be offered with respect and constructive intent. The world needs more of that.

This is a space for curiosity, reflection, vision, and intent.

Thank you for joining me.
