About Misty

Misty’s journey through the Navy began with a choice to start at ground zero, shaping a career built on resilience and determination. At the time this story was written in 2015, she was serving as a Senior Chief at the Defense Information School (DINFOS), mentoring the next generation of military communicators. Since then, she has been promoted to Master Chief and is currently stationed in California, continuing to lead and inspire Sailors with the same grit that defined her earliest decisions.

She loves all her minions, both real and imaginary.
